While we scroll through a sway it should have preloaded media like videos and autoplay it when it hits the viewable part of the screen
Thanks for the suggestion!
Here’s a Sway which you can duplicate that has instructions and two auto-playing videos (one from YouTube and one from Vimeo) in it as an example.
Autoplay for video and audio needs to be native if we want a seamless user experience.
Whilst embedding and auto running YouTube is fine, what we really need is an option for Stream videos to auto run as thats where most of our videos are encouraged to be
I manage to have the video autoplay. However, if I turn on Autoplay for the entire Sway, it only allows up to a maximum of 60s. Which means it'll only play the video for the first 1minute and then cut to the next card/screen. One of our staff wants to have the Sway run on the TV in our waiting room on autoplay loop. Any suggestions?
Yes agreed. This is a basic feature that PowerPoint does well. No one wants to have to sit and click on play all the time. Microsoft please start improving the ability to embed other Microsoft applications/files into Sway. So many great building blocks, but they play so poorly together it's a shame.

How do you advance to the next slide after showing a video when in presentation (full screen) mode?
I can not get the slides to advance.
Would you please share with me sample of this code, is it similar to the below, in another meaning, where to put this code (?autoplay=1)
<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-tcqy27hN2U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>?autoplay=1
Still seems the suggestion to add "rel=0&autoplay=1" or "?autoplay=1" to your embed code does not work.. did anyone have success autoplaying a video in Sway? from youtube or otherwise?
Would be nice to autoplay uploaded videos. Why? I have a sway presentation on loop in our Break Room and the videos i embedded from youtube are taking entirely too long to load causing the videos to be cut off half way... Due to the fact that the script running in the background is timed approximately 2 seconds longer than the video then moves on to the next slide. In other words either i make up for the time loads in the script or i scratch off the videos...
Is there an update for this? You are still gathering feedback?

I just found the tip of uploading the video to YouTube and then using the YouTube embed code to insert the video and also appending the code:
directly tothe end of the youtube link will cause the video to autoplay.
so problem is solved, but it would be nice to have an option to autoplay in the card/inser/video
It also would be nice to have self loaded videos be able to play offline.

I will be using Sway for the first time tomorrow as my presentation software for a large conference plenary session. Using the "presentation" navigation layout - the video/autoplay function would add much value to Sway.
Also, I have three short (1 minute each) videos that I uploaded to Sway myself/manually. The still don't seem to be available in offline mode - can i fix this.
Last FYI, Before I start the Sway I will put up on power point slide with the Sway weblink (converted in goo.gl to a shorter link) so that the audience can immediately access the whole presentation and follow along on their phone, tablet, or laptop - way cool!
Thanks for developing this product, and distributing it at no charge with Windows 10. It will be my "go-to" presentation software in the future.
has this feature been added?
On view video dont use play automaticaly features , its so sad. And video on back viewed best!

There should also be an option to auto repeate the movie while showing. Would like to do things like: http://www.lifeofpimovie.com/
