See stats (such as number of views) in Sway administration pane
It would be nice to see some stats in the administration pane of my sways (number of visitors...), so I can see if people like my sway and if they share it with others.
Thank you for this suggestion. We’ve just shipped this feature! If you go to the My Sways page, you’ll notice that each Sway will now have a view count which tracks how many people have viewed your Sway.

We are using Sway as a newsletter - we are interesting in understand who is clicking and viewing what material. Can Sway analytics do this?
Does the number of views stats take into account people who have visited at multiple times? Do they get counted each time ?
but how to see who has seen our sway??

Dear Sway team, we have started using sway for our bi-annual newsletter and really love the tool. The basic statistics provided (number of views) are a good start, but it would be so very helpful to know
- who has viewed the sway
- how many links in the sway were clicked on
- how much time the viewer spent on the sway
Hope this can be added in the near future!
I echo Phill's comment bellow. It would be great to have a complete analytics dashboard where we could see the region that accessed my Sway, how log this person spent on the page, what part of the page attracted more attention, how many clicks, where they clicked and etc. Is this feature on the roadmap?
Is there a function where we can see exactly who viewed the sway to get in contact with them?
Love sway only issue is the need to track per each content piece within one sway. is anyone looking into that for a future solution?

Thank you SWAY. I now have a counter on My Sways page. Unfortunately they don't show any data ('No Data'). Can you confirm how this works please? Thanks.
Hi Sway team! We love that this view metric was added, but it doesn't seem to be working on our presentations. Any thoughts on what gives?
THANK YOU SWAY TEAM! We just re-created our company website as a Sway this week and this is a vital feature that made us put this off so long but the simplicity of Sway made us move forward anyway. Great timing.
Question how do we know if it was a person view or a bot?
Suggestions: Can we get a bit more info? Like how long they stayed on a page, what sections/header areas they viewed the most and how long? And with Sway pages that are linked, the path they took to other Sways. Then an aggregate of all viewers times to see what they spent the most time on and the viewing paths?
And of course location of viewer; country, state, city, IP and/or organization?
Or you could just add a none viewing HTML card that we can use for tracking code. But I would prefer it to be in sway, especially since you can provide viewing times by areas/sections.
Thanks again. A much appreciated feature.

Hello Microsoft, any news on this important feature? I'd be happy to be part of testing it.
it if there were analytics for number of viewers.
It would be really good to be able to see how many people have viewed/shared my Sway.

Yes, this is the best suggestion I've seen do far for Sway! Even a small counter on the top navigation bar with something like
Views: xxx Likes: xxx Shares: xxx would be helpful - It's all about the analytics for us and big corporate, the more info we can feedback to a team on performance of something like a Sway message/presentation the more likely we are to make use of it in future. These kind of analytics drive the use of products in many organisations, without them you are shooting a ping-pong ball down a giant black hole and hoping to hit something meaningful.

This is a feature that will be really helpful to our organisation (17 000 + users) - we really need to track certain messages to see if they get to the right people at the right time, etc.

Hi Microsoft, I know you are working hard on including Sway in some way in O365 Analytics. Looking forward to it, so I can include it in the other PowerBI dashboards that we use for Yammer and SharePoint analytics!
However, in the mean time, could you open up for an interim solution, making it possible to include a 3rd party advanced web metrics/analytics code to Sway's? That way, I can still add it to PowerBI through one of many content packs.
I'm interested in some very basic stuff like:
- New and reoccuring visitors/views
And, as Anonymous mentions below (June 22nd) it would be fantastic to be able to embed a Yammer thread in a Sway (or Group).
I am using Sway for a newsletter. In addition to needing to know the number of people looking at it, I would like to be able to add a comments/feedback section. Would it be possible to do this, perhaps using Yammer?
how can I tell how many views a Sway post has at any point in time?
Is there any way to see a view count on a particular SWAY? Using it as a replacement and we would like a view count to see how effective it is being.

Docs.com is an option, but it wraps the sway with a header and left-menu which detracts from the simplicity of the sway.
